Home again

After almost a month of traveling, we are home.  We traveled from Oklahoma though Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South and North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kentucky visiting friends and making new family memories.  I especially enjoyed chatting in person with my pal Brenda (of Loom Lore legend ;) ) and her wonderful husband.  Yes, she is as nice in person as she is online.

Loom knit update coming later in the week. :D

Weekender is now live!

The stars must be aligned just right ’cause I finished editing yet another pattern (3rd one in a month…wow)

Presenting (drum roll hehe)……Weekender!

You can access it directly by clicking on the photo above.  Or if you want to browse, click on the “loom knit patterns” option above or to the right. ;)

Just to mention it….the armholes are done a little differently on this pattern.  I believe you will find it a quick and simple pattern too.  Let me know if you have questions! :)

Lucky Fellow

I wanted to give Gary something special for his birthday this year.  Since it has been a tough year for him (and us) health-wise, and since he is of Irish descent, this seemed most appropriate to bring a smile to his face.

Leprechaun is made from Alan Dart’s pattern.

It worked!  Not only did it bring a smile to Gary’s face but brought luck to us the following week.  The day after his birthday, Gary had his first PET scan since chemo started in March.  A couple of days later, we got the result.  Oncologist says Gary seems to be free from active cancer…at least for now.  VERY good news indeed.  :D   We know that the odds are pretty much against remission holding (this was stage 4) but this does mean we can hope.

Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts.  Gary is a lucky fellow indeed.
